OUR JOURNEY SO FAR
MAZIK FOUNDATION, A SUCCESS
It has been months of herculean relentless operations powered by the Board of Trustees and staff's commitments and dedication to excellent service delivery. Commendably too, we are, within this short period of time shattering the ceiling glass of fear, indifference, apprehension, and apathy that constitute stumbling blocks that encumber strategic advocacy activities and actualization of consumer rights fidelity in Nigeria. MAZIK Foundation is also becoming entrenched in consumer's minds, through its multi-faceted platforms, outlets and outreaches including the inauguration day carnival and road walk, hand bills distribution, interactions that created systemic linkages with other stakeholders. INAUGURATION OF MAZIK FOUNDATION FOR CONSUMER RIGHTS HEAD QUARTERS
On June 19th, 2024, Mazik Foundation for Consumer Rights formally inaugurated its Asaba, Delta State operations in a colorful ceremony marked by enthusiasm, optimism, and a renewed call for justice and accountability in the marketplace. The event was a vibrant gathering of stakeholders, civil society actors, community leaders, and concerned citizens, all united by a common goal: to uphold and defend the rights of consumers across the state. Mazik Foundation for Consumer Rights is a trailblazing non-governmental organization dedicated to championing the cause of consumers who often find themselves shortchanged, dissatisfied, or neglected after purchasing products or services. With the launch of its Delta State chapter, the Foundation extends its reach and deepens its commitment to ensuring that every consumer has access to redress, advocacy, and education on their rights. At its core, the Foundation serves as a beacon of hope and a platform for constructive dialogue between consumers and service providers. While it stands firmly with consumers in their quest for satisfaction and justice, it also recognizes that businesses and service providers sometimes fall victim to misinformation, fraudulent claims, or unfair backlash. In this way, Mazik Foundation positions itself not just as a watchdog, but as a mediator — fostering accountability on all sides, promoting fair trade practices, and encouraging ethical consumerism. As a nascent but fast-growing force in the consumer rights landscape, the Foundation’s Delta State operations promise to bring transformative change by promoting awareness, providing legal and advocacy support, and facilitating amicable dispute resolution. Its mission is clear: to build a society where the rights of consumers are protected, businesses are held to high ethical standards, and both parties engage in mutually respectful and transparent exchanges.

MAZIK FOUNDATION FOR CONSUMER RIGHTS UNVEILS OGUN STATE CHAPTER IN A BOLD STEP TOWARD ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL JUSTICE
In a landmark event that signals a new era for consumer protection in Nigeria, Mazik Foundation for Consumer Rights officially launched its Ogun State Chapter on September 14, 2024, at Agbara. The ceremony was a vibrant convergence of vision and purpose, drawing together respected professionals, labor union leaders, security agencies, and community influencers—all united in their commitment to uphold the rights and dignity of consumers. This historic inauguration marks a major milestone in the Foundation’s rapidly expanding footprint across the nation. More than just a launch, the event was a powerful call to action against the rising tide of exploitation, deceit, and neglect often faced by everyday Nigerians at the hands of unscrupulous service providers and producers. Speaking at the event, the Foundation’s Convener and Executive Director, Zik Igbadi Boniwe, reaffirmed Mazik’s mission to confront the social and economic injustices that consumers endure—often silently. With a bold agenda covering 20 core thematic areas, including education, healthcare, transportation, and employee rights, Mazik Foundation is redefining what it means to stand up for the average citizen. “Our mission is not just to advocate—it is to empower. We want consumers to know their rights, speak up, and take action. We want a marketplace governed by fairness, integrity, and mutual respect,” said Boniwe. Mazik Foundation’s Core Pillars of Advocacy: Education: Demanding quality and accountability in Nigeria’s education sector while providing support for students and parents in dispute resolution. Transportation: Advocating for safer, more reliable transport systems, and fighting against extortion and poor service delivery. Healthcare: Ensuring equitable access to competent and humane healthcare services for all citizens. Employee Rights: Safeguarding workers from unfair treatment, wrongful dismissal, and workplace exploitation. Your Voice, Your Power Mazik Foundation is not just an institution—it is a movement powered by everyday people. The organization invites consumers from all walks of life to join in this transformative journey by reporting violations, sharing their experiences, and working collectively to demand justice. Through mediation, reconciliation, peacebuilding, and legal intervention, the Foundation provides a structured pathway to resolve consumer grievances and enforce accountability. With the Ogun State chapter now fully operational, Mazik Foundation reaffirms its vision of building a Nigeria where every consumer is protected, every voice is heard, and no injustice goes unchallenged.
